Münster combines Westphalian down-to-earthness with academic excellence. In a city where the university and student life shape the cityscape like hardly anywhere else, communication is key. Scholara is your partner for extending this dialogue into the digital space. We develop websites for WWU and FH institutes that are as accessible and livable as the city itself.

Münster

Münster is often described as one of the most livable cities in the world. The historic old town around Prinzipalmarkt, the famous promenade (the green ring around the city center), and Lake Aasee create an atmosphere that is both relaxed and inspiring. As “Germany's cycling city,” Münster stands for short distances and sustainability.

This high quality of life attracts bright minds. Münster is an extremely young city: with around 60,000 students among 320,000 inhabitants, science shapes the rhythm of daily life. The mixture of Catholic tradition (City of Peace 1648) and young, dynamic start-up culture creates a unique biotope for innovation.

University and research in Münster

The heart of the science city beats at the University of Münster (WWU). As one of Germany's largest universities, it covers a huge spectrum – from excellent religious studies (Cluster of Excellence Religion and Politics) to mathematics. One outstanding flagship project is the MEET Battery Research Center, which is making Münster a global hotspot for the energy storage systems of the future.

This is complemented by Münster University of Applied Sciences, which is regularly recognized as one of the best universities of applied sciences in Germany and is particularly strong in technology transfer (“science-to-business”). The Max Planck Institute for Molecular Biomedicine also contributes to the international appeal of the location.

In Münster, distances are short – even in research. Scholara supports this networked structure with digital platforms that facilitate cooperation. Whether you need a conference website for an international congress in the castle or are looking for a platform for interdisciplinary collaboration, we provide the right digital architecture.
